$20 000 ‘would atone’ for attack

The prosecution wants a family who beat, stoned and then threw acid on a man to pay him compensation.

State Counsel Paul Prescod feels the complainant should be given in the range of $20 000, while the woman whose car was damaged in the melee should get $4 000 in compensation.

The prosecutor was making submissions on sentence when Clive McDonald Stoute, Imarie Decodi Griffith and Patria Latoya Griffith returned the No. 4 Supreme Court yesterday.

The three, of Fairview, Christ Church, were found guilty of causing serious bodily harm to Greg Burt with intent on December 27, 2020.
