Offender says sorry for having drugs

He was a first-time offender and was, therefore, given the opportunity to keep his record clean.

So said Magistrate Manila Renee as she imposed a bond on Gavin Devere Payne in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

Payne, 31, of 4th Avenue, Harts Gap, Christ Church, had just pleaded guilty to having cannabis in his possession, having a traffickable quantity of the drug and having it with intent to supply on September 11.

“I’m sorry for having the drugs,” he said.
