Hall named interim BFA technical director

The Barbados Football Association (BFA) on Tuesday announced the appointment of Kent Hall as interim BFA technical director.

With over 15 years coaching experience, Kent has trained as a coach educator with both FIFA and Concacaf. He is a Concacaf B-License holder, and previously served as assistant coach to Russell Latapy with the men’s national team.

A former national senior player, the now 46-year-old Hall appeared in 17 matches for the Bajan Tridents, from 2003-2006.

He has worked across the broad spectrum of football in Barbados both on and off the field, from Under-9s all the way through to Senior football, including Premier League.

He is also currently the national senior men’s head coach, having first been appointed to that position on an interim basis in May of this year.

Under Hall’s guidance, the Tridents have won their first two games in the Concacaf Nations League, defeating the Bahamas and United States Virgin Islands in September.

Aligning with Hall’s transition is the additional appointment of national Under-14 boys and Under-15 girls head coach Fitzgerald Carter, as the interim BFA head of coaching education.

Carter is also notably the BFA FIFA Talent Development Scheme (TDS) Project Officer and BFA talent coach.

The BFA confirmed both Interim appointments will take effect immediately, as the recruitment process for a permanent BFA technical director continues. (PR/TF)
