New party skips by-election, pushes inclusivity

Barbados’ newest party is operating on a platform of inclusivity.

However, it will not be taking part in the upcoming by-election in St James North.

Political leader Kemar Stuart said they were looking for young and mature to join, anyone who had something to contribute on a constituency or national level.

He was speaking to Nationnews after a media launch of the party at Unity Workers Union, Belleville, St Michael.

Stuart will be running in St John and is currently the only ratified member as the potential candidate for the by-election was deemed unsuitable. He said they were screening potential candidates and would be ready for the next general election or any further by elections. (CA)
