One man is in critical condition after a chopping incident at the Bridgetown Fisheries Complex this morning.
One man is in police custody.
Another person who attempted to intervene was also injured, but that was not as serious.
An eyewitness told The Nation they were left shocked by the incident between two fish vendors because there was no quarrelling and the one in custody did not talk much.
“All you see is he hand going up and down,” an eyewitness said.
“Somebody had to pelt rocks and pelt mangoes to get he off the boy or else he would be dead.”
The incident occurred around 9 a.m. and both the ambulance and police were quickly on the scene. The man was taken into custody and police are still on location conducting investigations. (SAT)
