Ronnie De Announcer Clarke is getting a legal opinion on why his calypso National Carol Festival (NCF) was silenced on one of the country’s leading radio stations.
The Barbados Association of Creatives and Artistes (BACA) is also looking into the matter.
However, Anthony Greene, general manager at Starcom Network Inc., where the song has been banned, is making it clear that the situation is complex.
“The matter at hand goes beyond the song. It is a sensitive issue and one that must be handled with due care and in accordance with the appropriate internal processes and guidance,” he said as he also defended Starcom’s commitment to being a responsible media house.
