Emancipation Day celebrations come alive

The JTC Ramsay Circle, better known as the Bussa Roundabout, again came alive during the 2025 Emancipation celebrations.

Delays and showers could not halt the celebrations, which included words for thought as well as dancing, drumming. There were also vehicular tributes and a demonstration of go kart racing which is enjoying a revival after a successful demonstration during St George’s We Gatherin’ activities.

Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley reminded the gathered crowd that Barbados had yet to fully shake off mental slavery and urged those on that journey to take others with them.
