Free tint testing extended after overwhelming response

Motorists who missed last week’s free vehicle tint testing will now have an extended opportunity, as authorities have announced that the initiative will continue for an additional five days.

The decision to extend the testing period follows overwhelming public interest in determining whether vehicle tints comply with new regulations set to take effect from September 1.

In a statement issued on Monday, Director of Citizen Engagement and Media Relations in the Office of the Prime Minister, Roy Morris said testing will resume from Tuesday to Saturday, between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily.

Testing will take place at the same 12 locations used during last week’s sessions:

St Michael: Combermere School, Wildey Gymnasium, Queen’s College, Kensington Oval

Christ Church: Christ Church Foundation School; St David’s Anglican Church carpark

St Philip: Princess Margaret Secondary School

St James: Frederick Smith Secondary School

St George: St George Secondary School

St Peter: Alexandra School

St Thomas: Welchman Hall Post Office

St Joseph: Grantley Adams Secondary School

“Remember, it takes no more than one minute to measure the windows on a single vehicle so there is no need to fear being caught in a long line with extensive wait times,” Morris said as he encouraged motorists to take advantage of the opportunity. (PR/BT)
