CASTRIES – Three days after an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.0 rattled St. Lucia, the island was jolted by a 4.4 tremor on Sunday night, the Trinidad-based Seismic Research Centre (SRC) has reported.
It said the latest quake occurred at 8.51 pm (local time) and was at a depth of 15 kilometers (km). It was felt 31 km south of Fort-de-France, Martinique and 112 km south, south east of Roseau, the Dominican capital.
The SRC said there were no reports of damage or injuries as a result of the latest quake.
Last Thursday, the island was rattled by an earthquake at a depth of 10 km. The tremor was felt 70 km, east of Kingstown, the capital of St Vincent and the Grenadines and 110 km west of Bridgetown, the Barbados capital.
The SRC reported no damage or injuries. (CMC)
