Jamaican woman charged with drug trafficking at airport

A 40-year-old Jamaican national has been charged in connection with a major drug bust at the Grantley Adams International Airport.

The Barbados Police Service arrested and formally charged Tashana Roselyn Brown, of West Prospect, Bog Walk, St. Catherine, Jamaica, for several drug-related offences committed on November 1, 2025.

Brown has been charged with possession of cannabis, trafficking of cannabis, intent to supply, and importation of cannabis.

According to police, the total estimated weight of the suspected cannabis is 6.7 kilograms, with an estimated street value of $53,600 (BDS).

Brown is expected to appear in the District ‘B’ Magistrates’ Court on Monday, November 3, 2025.
