Accused of having an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, a 66-year-old truck driver will spend the next four weeks on remand at Dodds Prison after appearing in a Bridgetown court on Thursday.
John Mitchell Cozier of Niles Road, Eagle Hall, St Michael was not required to plead to the indictable charges that on December 10, he had a firearm without a valid licence and 15 rounds of ammunition without a valid permit.
Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes remanded him into the custody of Dodds Prison and adjourned the matter until January 8.
Cozier was represented by Senior Counsel Angella Mitchell-Gittens.
