Labourer bailed after denying death threat

A 40-year-old labourer accused of threatening a man on Christmas Eve, pleaded not guilty and was granted $3 000 bail with a stay-away order pending his April return to court.

Javon Omar Denny will return to the District ‘A’ Traffic Court next year after denying that on Christmas Eve, he used towards Adrian John Snagg threatening words “I would kill you boy”, intending to cause him to believe that immediate unlawful violence would be used against him.

The resident of Husbands Development pleaded not guilty when Magistrate Alison Burke read the charge.

After no objections were raised, Denny was released on $3 000 bail with a surety and ordered to stay away from Snagg.

The case continues on April 17, 2026.
