A St Lucy man accused of discharging a firearm in a public place and endangering life will face trial in the High Court from September 14 after denying the charges.
During his arraignment in Supreme Court No. 5A, Nico Nathan Archer of Grape Hall, appeared before Justice Christopher Birch and denied that he discharged a firearm in Avia Town, a public place, in a manner that placed Michael Benn in danger of death or serious bodily harm, and that he used a firearm without a valid licence to do so.
The offences allegedly occurred on October 24, 2022.
After defence attorney Sian Lange indicated that they were ready to proceed, the trial was scheduled to commence on September 14.
State Counsel Eleazar Williams is the prosecutor in the case.
