St Bernard’s record third win in NSC/BICO Primary School Football

Trazahri Ifill produced a hat-trick performance as St Bernard’s Phoenix secured a commanding 4-1 victory over Providence Elementary in the National Sports Council/BICO Primary School Football Competition. Aakash Jones added the other goal in the win.

The result, achieved in the Dennis Leacock Zone at the Conrad Hunte Playing Field, lifted St Bernard’s Phoenix to three wins from four matches, drawing them level on points with Providence.

In other action in the zone, Hillaby/Turner’s Hall edged Grantley Prescod 1-0, while St Margaret’s also recorded a narrow 1-0 win over St Joseph Primary.

Play in the Edward Smith/Frank Holder Zone saw All Saints blanking Selah 5-0, while Roland Edwards posted a 2-0 victory over Gordon Greenidge Primary.

St Luke’s Brighton were beaten 1-0 by St George Primary, while Mount Tabor eased past St Judes 2-0, in the Kenville Kab Layne Zone.

At Briar Hall Christ Church in the Ricardo Mickey Gibson Zone, People’s Cathedral defeated Wills 1-0, St Lawrence Primary and St Bartholomew drew 1-1, St Winifred’s defeated Shirley Chisholm 2-0, while St Gabriel’s and 

Milton Lynch drew 1-1. Last year’s runners up Arthur Smith Primary defeated St Christopher Primary 3-1 in the remaining game.
