Three Surinamese nationals have been charged with multiple cocaine-related offences following a narcotics operation by the Barbados Police Service.
Farino Revelino Bergmans, 33, Celita Saskia Aloewanai, 41, and Kylie Bretni Banga, 21, were each charged by the Narcotics Unit with possession, intent to supply, trafficking and importation of cocaine in connection with offences allegedly committed on May 23, 2026.
Police say Bergmans was found with approximately 1.2 kilogrammes of suspected cocaine, with an estimated street value of $60 000. He appeared before Magistrate Alison Burke in the District ‘A’ Traffic Court on Saturday, where he was not allowed to plead to the charges. He was remanded to the Barbados Prison Service at Dodds and is scheduled to reappear on June 4.
Aloewanai is alleged to have been in possession of about 1.1 kilogrammes of cocaine, valued at approximately $55 000, while Banga is accused of having 1 kilogramme, with an estimated value of $50 000.
Both Aloewanai and Banga are expected to appear in the District ‘B’ Magistrates’ Court on June 1. (PR)
