Five secondary schools are now better prepared for the upcoming school league domino tournament after receiving gear.
The Alleyne School, Grantley Adams Memorial, Graydon Sealy Secondary School, Christ Church Foundation School and Lester Vaughn Secondary School, were recipients of donations from the organizers of the former Slam-O-Dom extravaganza in conjunction with the family of the late Inspector Rodney Inniss.
Each school was presented with four dominoes tables and four packs of dominoes to assist in their preparations for the tournament, which is scheduled to commence on October 13.
The primary objective of the venture is to provide a benchmark for students to get more involved in the sport of dominoes, while fostering critical thinking, discipline, team work and sportsmanship.
