St Philip man remanded on wounding, damage charges

A St Philip man accused of wounding and criminal damage has been remanded to appear before the District ‘C’ Magistrates’ Court.

Elson Robinson Slater, 41, of Gemswick, St Philip appeared in the No. 2 District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court accused of the offences of unlawfully and maliciously wounding Teshawn King and damaging King’s $85 haversack, intending to damage or being reckless as to whether the property would be damaged, both on February 19.

No pleas were taken after the charges were read.

Prosecutor Sergeant Kenmore Phillips objected to Slater’s release, saying that the accused was already on bail in another case.

Magistrate Manila Renee transferred the case to District ‘C’ where it will be heard on Monday.
