Table leaders Atlas United and Chickmont FC underlined their dominance in Division Two of the Barbados Football Association season on Tuesday, both registering emphatic wins to maintain their fierce title race.
In Zone A action, Atlas United swept aside Glebe FC 5–0 to move to 30 points, while close rivals Chickmont FC responded in similar fashion, dismantling Lodge Road 6–2 to stay just one point behind in second place on 29 points.
Martindale’s Road remain well off the pace in third position on 18 points, following a goalless draw with United Soccer Academy, while Maxwell remain seventh on four points, following a 3-0 defeat of Hothersal Turning.
In Zone D, Ivy Rovers defeated Youth Milan 1-0 to move up to 29 points in second position, as they closed the gap to leaders L&R United, who have so far amassed 33 points.
L&R missed the chance to extend that lead, after being held to a 1-1 draw by Kings Park Rangers, who are fifth on 14 points.
Red Hill and Orange Hill remain sixth and seventh respectively following another 1-1 draw, while fourth-placed Eastern United moved up to 14 points, with a 2-0 win over bottom of the table Spartans.
