
The Barbados Police Service Narcotics Unit has charged two people following the seizure of more than 110 kilograms of suspected cannabis.
Police said Arshad Patel, 33, of Welches Main Road, St Michael, and Mariah Chante Shernell Parris, 28, of Harlington, St Philip, have each been charged with trafficking and importation of cannabis. The offences are alleged to have been committed on June 25, 2026.
Authorities said the suspected cannabis weighed approximately 110.2 kilograms and has an estimated street value of $1,763,200.
Patel and Parris are scheduled to appear before the District βAβ Criminal Court today.
