If you’re attending the State Service of Thanksgiving for the Right Excellent Sir Garfield Sobers, National Hero of Barbados, today, Wednesday, July 29, take advantage of the Transport Board’s free park-and-ride and dedicated bus services.

Free park-and-ride buses will operate from the Garfield Sobers Gymnasium, the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre, Queen’s College, and the National Cultural Foundation’s Car Park. These locations will open from 6:30 a.m. and remain available until one hour after the service.

Free dedicated buses to Kensington Oval will also leave at 7:15 a.m. from the Oistins Sub Terminal, Emerald City Car Park at Republic Bank, Six Roads, St. Philip, and the Speightstown Bus Terminal.

There will also be a dedicated Bayland service, with buses departing from Bay Primary School at 7 a.m. and again at 7:45 a.m. Return buses will be available at the end of the service.
