Crop Over 2026 belongs to Mikey!
The National Cultural Foundation tonight announced he had won the Tune of the Crop with Like Uh Bajan.
The song played 14 times before the judges, one more then People’s Monarch runner-up Leadpipe with Dah Wuh She Get.
It was a close competition. People’s Monarch Shaquille was third with 12 plays for After All.
Mikey earned $10 000 for Tune of the Crop, adding to the $200 000 he already earned by sweeping the Power Soca and Sweet Soca segments of the Party Monarch.
Leadpipe earned $7 500 tonight as well as $4 000 in People’s Monarch. Shaquille got $5 000 on top of the $15 000 for People’s Monarch and $50 000, placing second in the Power Soca. (SAT)
