Three men, including two foreign nationals, have been arrested and formally charged in connection with the seizure of 43.3 kilograms of suspected cannabis valued at an estimated $866,000.

The Barbados Police Service Narcotics Unit charged Keion Kester George, 45, a Trinidadian national; Ryan O’Neal Goddard, 53, of Cutting Road, Haggatt Hall, St Michael; and David Bethune, 54, a Guyanese national, with possession, trafficking and intent to supply cannabis.
George was also charged with entering Barbados other than through a port of entry and disembarking without the consent of an immigration officer. The offences were allegedly committed on August 23.
The three appeared before Magistrate Keitha Ellis in the District “B” Magistrates’ Court earlier today. They were not required to plead to the indictable offences.
Goddard was granted $200,000 bail, while George and Bethune were remanded to the Dodds.
Bethune is scheduled to reappear on Monday, August 31, while Goddard and George are due back in court on Thursday, September 3.
