
The Barbados Police Service has eradicated nearly 6,000 cannabis plants during an operation in several areas of St John.
The Special Operations Management Division conducted Operation Green Bay on Saturday, August 29, in Welch, Cliff Cottage, Bath Land and Colleton.
Police said 5,968 marijuana plants, ranging in height from seedlings to eight feet, were eradicated.
The plants had a combined weight of 356.79 kilograms and an estimated street value of $1,427,160.
No suspects were held during the operation.
Investigations into the discovery are continuing.
