Inmate charged with 19-year murder remanded

Inmate Ryan Antonio Bullen was sent back to Dodds Prison this morning after appearing in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court, charged with a murder which occurred more than 19 years ago.

Bullen, 48, was not required to plead to killing Karen Allamby, whose decapitated body was discovered at Cane Vale, Christ Church, on April 16, 2007.

Allamby, a mother of four, was 39 years old at the time and lived at Gall Hill, Christ Church, but her roots were in Jackson, St Michael

Bullen appeared before Magistrate Manilla Renee, who transferred the matter to District B. He was remanded until October 1.

He is serving a life sentence in the murder of 14 year old Kalifa Downes, formerly of Lower Burney, St Michael. Her body was found at the back of the Pine Hill Dairy on April 20, 2007, days after she was reported missing.  (PR/SAT)
