The men had their session on Thursday night under the floodlights under the watch of head coach Trevor Penny and assistant Roddy Estwick. They are expected to have their final preparations on Friday afternoon with the women at the Carlton Club’s Desmond Haynes Oval in Black Rock and the men at the Three Ws Oval at the Cave Hill of the University of the West Indies.

“The preparations are going really well. We are feeling very confident and we are set and ready for our opening match against TKR on Saturday. There is certainly a lot of belief in our camp and you can feel the buzz around the Oval as everyone steps up the preparations to host the next two weeks,” Hinds said.

The two local teams will play on Saturday as the tournament comes to the island. The women will start their campaign against Trinbago Knight Riders at 3pm while the men will continue their bid for a playoff spot when the clash with Trinbago at 8pm. (PS)
