The Barbados Olympic Association (BOA) is set to consider significant changes to its governance structure when its Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held this evening at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre, with proposed age limits for directors among the key amendments to its by-laws.
BOA president Sandra Osborne said the association has been working to update its by-laws in line with best practices, with several recommendations now before the general body for approval.
Among the most significant proposals is the introduction of age limits for directors, something Osborne said would represent a major change for the association.
“One of the important items on the agenda is the amendment of our by-laws. We’ve been doing some work to update the by-laws and make sure that they are in keeping with best practice,” Osborne told MIDWEEK SPORT.
