Former boxing champion, 51-year-old Shawn Terry Cox, has been charged with exposing himself to a girl.
The accused was in the Oistins Magistrates’ Court yesterday before Magistrate Gayl Scott, where he pleaded not guilty to wilfully, openly, lewdly and obscenely exposing himself in view of a 13-year-old girl on September 29.
Cox, of Upper Collymore Rock, St Michael, represented Barbados at the 2000 Summer Olympics and was a gold medallist at the 2002 Central American and Caribbean Games.
He was granted $5 000 bail and the matter adjourned until January 18 next year.
Cox, who is being represented by attorney Rasheed Belgrave, was ordered to stay away from the complainant. (SD)
