Accused Dario Orlando Taitt told police he believed Jamal Clarke was “high” based on the way he was behaving and quarrelling over a cellphone.
However, he denied that he shot Clarke and said he did not know how his name came to be called in connection with the incident.
This was the evidence of Station Sergeant Kenwyn Sumrah, who was testifying in Taitt’s murder trial in the No. 3 Supreme Court yesterday.
Taitt, alias “Red Dog”, 32, of Silver Sands, Christ Church, is accused of murdering Clarke, also of Silver Sands, on May 2, 2023.
