Promoters and individuals planning events where alcohol will be sold this holiday season are being reminded to apply early for their liquor licences to avoid delays.
Applications must be submitted online at liquorlicence.gov.bb, where persons can choose between a Special Occasion Liquor Licence, valid for events lasting 24 hours or less, or a Seasonal Liquor Licence, which covers a 90-day period and can be used for multiple events.
Payments can be made online through EZpay+ via the applicant’s liquor licence account, or in person at post offices across the island. For timely approval, applicants are being advised to submit their requests at least four working days before their scheduled event.
Persons needing assistance with the application process may contact the Liquor Licence Authority of the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs at 535-7019, 535-7011, 535-7015 or 535-7042, or visit its offices at the Energy Division, Country Road, St. Michael, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
