In one of the most high profile games of the season thus far, Arthur Smith Primary defeated St Gabriel’s 2-1 when play in the National Sports Council/BICO Primary School football competition continued on Monday.
Arthur Smith, last year’s runners-up and champions in 2024, edged St Gabriel’s in the Ricardo Mickey Gibson Zone at Briar Hall, Christ Church.
In more action from that zone, Wills Primary defeated St Bartholomew 2-0, St Winifred’s recorded a 1-0 win over People’s Cathedral, Milton Lynch blanked St Lawrence Primary 4-0, while St Christopher Primary beat Shirley Chisholm by a similar margin.
In the Edward Smith/Frank Holder Zone in Speightstown, All Saints and
Roland Edwards Primary played out a 2-2 draw, while at Shorey Village in the Dennis Leacock Zone, St Bernard’s blanked St Joseph Primary 5-0, while Providence had a 3-1 win over Grantley Prescod Primary.
In Greens St George, play in the Kenville Kab Layne Zone saw St Lukes Brighton being defeated 3-0 by Mount Tabor Primary, St George Primary hammered Cuthbert Moore 6-0 and Hits 106.7 Bay Primary eased past Ellerton Primary 4-1.
