Aussies stifle Windies in semi

West Indies were outplayed and outclassed by Australia who cruised into the final of the ICC Women’s Twenty20 World Cup yesterday.

The regional side suffered a hammering by eight wickets at The Oval in London, to exit the tournament at the same stage they did in Dubai two years ago.

The reward for making the final four is BDS$1.4 million, to be shared by members of the squad.

West Indies batted first and made 125 for seven off 20 overs – which proved way too little as the Aussies hunted down the target to win by eight wickets with seven overs to spare.
