Signia Globe St Barnabus delivered an empathic statement in the Barbados Netball Association’s new season on Monday, storming to a commanding 48-11 victory over St James Stilettos, as Diamonds Division play continued.
Jada Smith spearheaded the offensive with 32 goals from 58 attempts, while Trishan Deane provided valuable support, converting 16 of her 31shots to complete the triumph.
For St James Stilettos Shaneta Spencer led with nine goals from 16 attempts, Stefanie Young added one from five, and Nakesha Boyce converted her only attempt.
St Barnabus eased to a 14-4 first quarter lead, which they extended to 24-7 at half time and 36-9 at the end of the third quarter, before going on to wrap up an easy win.
Burger King Clapham Blitz lived up to their name with a 28-2 defeat of Parish Land, in Sapphire B action.
Shamya Headley converted 11 of her 27 attempts, Stevecia Hyde eight of 14 and Jameisha Worrell made a perfect nine of nine, while for Parish Land, Arianna Clarke completed one of her six attempts and Nicshayla Best one of three.
Blitz led five-one after the opening quarter, 10-1 at half time and 19-1 after the third quarter.
