Boxing fans are in for a treat tonight as day one of the Carlton Hope/Lionel Hall Memorial Tournament gets underway at 7 p.m. at the Graydon Sealy Secondary School.
Tonight, there is a total of 13 bouts on the card for all in attendance, with the Bajan Welterweight title on the line as Peter Murray of National Gym will battle Nathan Walcott of Four Hill Gym. In addition, Jabali Breedy, who hails from FightnFit Gym, will also battle Jeremiah Toussaint from Belfield Gym.
In the main event, Barbadian Daniel William will battle against Martinique’s Ludovic Villet. Before that, Grenadian Vincent Samawano will be battling the talented Barbadian Abisahi Jn Baptiste.
Martinique’s Julien Jackson will also face Barbadian Jermaine Phillips, while Jazari Narine-Mayers from National Gym is set to battle Ju-Sean Shepherd from the Shaka School of Boxing.
Canada’s Liam Moreau is set to fight Jaquan Grant of Barbados, and before their bout, Myles Springer for Graydon Sealy will battle Rickeem Haynes of Daryl Jordan in an interschool battle.
Aaron Cadogan of Fredrick Smith will face Kaedyn Wiltshire of Combermere, and Nathan Thomas of National Gym will battle Aaron Primus of Zenlife Gym. Ordell Nicholas from Grantley Adams will cross fists with Matthew Bostic from National Gym.
Damarie Jack from Four Hill Gym will enter the ring to face Jaden Shorte from Shaka School of Boxing, and Azari Henry of Zenlife will battle Kevin Jacobs and Daryl Jordan.
