On Saturday, September 19, hundreds of Barbadians will roll up their sleeves across the island for the annual Green Nation Clean-up, taking place one day ahead of World Clean-up Day.
First launched by Nation Publishing five years ago, Green Nation brings together everyday citizens, schools, local businesses, environmental groups and Government agencies to play their part in preserving our natural environment.
This year’s clean-up will target three gullies that are often sites of indiscriminate dumping, which can have serious long-term consequences for our communities and environment.
