The winner of this year’s Courtesy Garage Pic-O-De-Crop Finals will drive away in style in a brand-new 2025 Nissan E-Power X-Trail. The vehicle, described by Courtesy Garage General Manager Andrez Greene as a revolutionary product in the automotive industry, was unveiled as the competition’s top prize during a contract-signing and number-drawing ceremony held at the dealership on Sunday evening.
Greene stated, “It is only fitting that this revolutionary technology be associated with this competition. It is fit for a queen or a king.
“The Nissan E-Power X-Trail represents more than just a prize, it symbolises the journey, strength, resilience, and drive that each of our finalists has shown to reach this stage.”
Greene also emphasised the cultural importance of the Pic-O-De-Crop Competition, describing it as “a vibrant, dynamic expression of who we are as Barbadians—proud, passionate, creative and not afraid to use our voices to speak the truth, celebrate life and inspire others”.
Pledging Courtesy’s continued support, Greene added, “Our partnership with the NCF over the years has been a natural fit. We are both committed to excellence, community development, and uplifting Barbadian talent on every level. Supporting the Pic-O-De-Crop Finals is part of our ongoing commitment to giving back, not just as a business, but as a member of this community. We believe that investing in culture is investing in the people of our nation. When culture thrives, we all thrive.”
Following the draw, several finalists traded performance positions. Teri traded her original number 13 position with her All Stars Calypso Tent colleague Queen Kareen to perform at number 8, while defending monarch Adrian AC Clarke swapped his initial 12th slot with Donella of All Stars Calypso Tent to perform at position 15.
Quon, representing the House of Soca, will be first on stage while seasoned performer Biggie Irie of De Big Show will close the competition.
