If Roger Antonio Lynch, 55, Reshon Antonio Jones, 25 and his brother Kedario Antonio Jones, 19, all of 1st Avenue, Jackson, St Michael, breach the bond, they will be required to pay $500 in one day or spend a month in prison.
The three first appeared in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court No. 2 before Magistrate Manila Renee two weeks ago. They pleaded guilty on that occasion to unlawfully and maliciously wounding Kirk Lynch on June 3. They returned last Friday for sentencing.
Prosecutor Sergeant Kenmore Phillips told the court Kirk and his assailants were cousins, and there was a history of verbal altercations between Roger and Kirk. As a result, Roger’s sons were not on speaking terms with Kirk. The families live about 20 feet away from each other.
On June 3, the complainant and his girlfriend were having an argument at his house, an exchange which his cousins witnessed from their patio. After the altercation ended, Kirk walked to the front of his cousins’ home and said: “Three uh wunna would get it too.”
Roger then confronted him and the two started fighting.
Roger’s sons subsequently got involved and the three beat Kirk, who later sought medical attention for soft tissue injuries to his head and shoulders, which were swollen. (SD)
