
Everyone loves a party, and there was no bigger soiree than the return of the Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL) to Kensington Oval last night, as Barbados Tridents hosted Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR)
The ‘Mecca’ was awash with colour as the region’s biggest cricket party brought with it the familiar sights, sounds and energy of a cricket-loving island.
Blue and yellow shirts filled the stands, their numbers growing as the evening progressed, while Trinbagonian red provided a striking counterpoint.
Nowhere was that rivalry more visible than in the 3Ws stand, where Trinidad and Tobago flags fluttered proudly above the crowd.
Among the sea of red were Ronald Dindial, his wife Nadine and daughter Anna, a Trinidadian family who could not resist adding some CPL cricket to their all-inclusive holiday in Christ Church.
