Defending Champions West Terrace wrapped up another win, in the National Sports Council, BICO Primary School Football Competition on Tuesday.
Playing in the Dane Alleyne Zone at Orange Hill, St James, they defeated St Albans 2-0. Welches also recorded a comprehensive 5-0 victory over Good Shepherd Primary, while St Matthew’s Primary and Sharon played out a goalless draw.
The goals were plentiful in the Reginald Haynes/Victor Gas Clarke Zone at Blenheim, St Michael. St Cyprians Boys defeated Wilkie Cumberbatch Primary 2-1, Charles F Broome Memorial clinched a 1-0 victory over
St Ambrose , while St Paul’s Primary ground out a 3-2 win over St Giles.
In a game involving six goals, Belmont were handed a 4-2 defeat by Luther Thorne Memorial, while in the remaining encounter, George Lamming Primary had a 3-0 default win over St Patrick’s Roman Catholic.
Westbury Primary secured the biggest win in the Keith Grell Griffith Zone, after dismissing Trinity Academy 4-0. The remaining games were far more competitive as Grazettes Primary defeated Trinity Academy 1-0, with this being the same margin of victory for Eagle hall Primary over St Mary’s Primary. Wesley Hall drew 1-1 with Deacons, but Eden Lodge took the full points with a 2-1 victory over Al Falah School.
Games in the Adrian Donovan/Michael Zone at King George V Park, also produced several goals and high scoring results. While St Philip Primary edged St Martin’s Mangrove 1-0, Hilda Skeene were beaten 3-0 by Gordon Walters, Reynold Weekes Primary put four unanswered goals past St Mark’s Primary and St Catherine had a 3-0 default win over Bayley’s Primary.
The goal rush continued in that zone as Blackman & Gollop eased past St Mark’s Primary 5-1.
Only two games kicked off on Tuesday at Briar Hall in the Ricardo Mickey Gibson Zone. St Winifreds School were beaten 1-0 by Wills, while Milton Lynch had a 2-1 win over People’s Cathedral.
