Two of the four men charged with a 2016 murder are scheduled to go on trial in July.
Kiastan Hallam Clarke of 2nd Avenue, Green Hill; Jason Shamin Blenman, of Pounders Road, Bush Hall; Hakeem Deshon Jeremy Griffith, of Well Gap, Cave Hill and Stefan Akobo Nkosi Branch, of Richmond Gap, were charged with the murder of 46-year-old Ricardo Anthony Bryan, formerly of Black Rock, on September 1, 2016.
When the matter was called for mention on Tuesday, Justice Pamela Beckles said that the court had received Branch’s death certificate. Branch died last year, and Clarke in 2021.
Attorneys Dennis Headley and Chanel Wharton represent Blenman, while Sade Harris is Griffith’s legal counsel.
The matter, which was adjourned until July 13, is being prosecuted by Principal State Counsel Rudolph Burnett and Senior State Counsel Kevin Forde.
