Fogging continues in St Philip this week

The Vector Control Unit will continue to focus on St Philip as it carries out its mosquito reduction programme, this week.

On Monday, July 7, the team will go into the following communities: Kirtons, Sand Dollar Circle, Sand Dollar Drive, Mangrove Gardens, and Mangrove Park.

The Unit will visit Garrett Road, Oldbury Terrace, Oldbury Gardens, St. Martins, Harrington Road, and environs on Tuesday, July 8. Pollards Land, Vineyard, Oughterson, Parish Land, Bushy Park, and Gaskin Road will be sprayed on Wednesday, July 9.

On Thursday, July 10, the Unit will concentrate its efforts on Dodds Tenantry, Dodds Land, Harrow Land, Padmore Village, and surrounding areas.

The fogging exercise for the week will conclude on Friday, July 11, in Parish Land, Mount Pleasant, Wild Cane Ridge, Moncriefe, Station Hill, and neighbouring districts.

Fogging takes place from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. daily. Householders are reminded to open their windows and doors to allow the spray to enter. Children should not be allowed to play in the fog.

Members of the public are advised that the completion of scheduled fogging activities may be affected by events beyond the Unit’s control. In such circumstances, the Unit will return to communities affected in the soonest possible time. (BGIS)
