A quartet of Aeden Bruce, Oliver Judd, Jordyn Hinkson and Jaylan Priddee will represent Barbados this weekend at the Nations Cup Caribbean Karting event in Trinidad.
The four-day meet will also feature competitors from Bermuda, Jamaica and the host country, who are the defending champions.
Racing gets underway on Thursday at the recently redeveloped track at the Frankie Boodram Wallerfield International Raceway.
Bruce and Judd are returning to the competition, while Hinkson and Priddee will make their debuts at the event.
Barbados Motoring Federation president Senator Andrew Mallalieu said that since the Caribbean Junior Karting Academy Trophy was first held in 2019, there has been some great racing at Bushy Park and in Jamaica, while strong regional friendships have also blossomed.
“I wish all four of them the very best of luck at Wallerfield this weekend and am looking forward to travelling down on Sunday to watch the final day of competition,” he said.
Bruce was the Barbados Karting Association’s Easkykart 100cc champion in 2025 and currently sits third in the 125cc category. Hinkson, meanwhile, has finished runner-up in the 60cc Cadets class in each of the past two years and has 22 race wins to his credit.
Both Judd and Priddee are also 100cc race winners this year.
