Four men have been remanded to prison after appearing in court on a series of serious charges, including burglary, robbery, and vehicle theft across multiple policing districts.
According to a police statement, the accused were arrested and formally charged by officers from the Serious Organised Crime Unit (SOCU).
The accused are Brandon Ackeem Devonish, 24, of Good Intent, St George; Wade Tristan Holder, 24, of Charles Rowe Bridge, St George; Tyrique Nickiel Stuart, 24, of Lowthers Hill, Christ Church; and Ramone Henderson Griffith, 33, also of Lowthers Hill, Christ Church.
The group faces a variety of joint charges stemming from incidents earlier this month. For offences allegedly committed in the District ‘E’ jurisdiction between May 12 and May 13, Holder and Devonish are jointly charged with a burglary involving stolen property valued at $12 220, as well as the theft of a motor car valued at $62 600.63.
Holder and Devonish are also jointly charged with a separate burglary in the Oistins area on May 13, where the value of the stolen property totalled $17 860.
Additionally, Holder, Stuart, and Griffith face a joint charge in the District ‘C’ jurisdiction for a robbery committed on May 14, involving stolen property valued at $40 275.
Devonish, Holder, Stuart, and Griffith all appeared before Magistrate Cuffy-Sargeant and were not required to enter a plea.
All four men were remanded into custody and are scheduled to reappear in the Holetown Court on June 23. Meanwhile, the matters originating in the Oistins and District ‘C’ jurisdictions have been transferred to their respective Magistrates’ Courts, where they are scheduled to be heard on June 12.
