Free vehicle tint testing begins today, August 6, and will run until August 10, as authorities move to prepare motorists for the enforcement of new tint legislation set to take effect on September 1, 2025.
The initiative, led by the Office of the Attorney General in partnership with the Prime Minister’s Office, is intended to give drivers a chance to check whether their vehicle windows comply with the updated legal standards.
Officials have confirmed that no tickets or penalties will be issued during this period.
Testing will take place daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at multiple locations across the island, including sites in Christ Church, St. Michael, St. Philip, St. James, St. George, St. Peter, St. Thomas, and St. Joseph.
Authorities are encouraging all motorists to take advantage of the service, noting that once the new legislation comes into effect, non-compliant tints will be subject to enforcement.

Christ Church: Christ Church Foundation School, St. David’s Anglican Church carpark
St. Michael: Combermere School, Wildey Gymnasium, Queen’s College, Kensington Oval
St. Philip: Princess Margaret Secondary School
St. James: Frederick Smith Secondary School
St. George: St. George Secondary School
St. Peter: Alexandra School
St. Thomas: Welchman Hall Post Office
St. Joseph: Grantley Adams Secondary School
