Hall using CONCACAF Series as preparation for Nations League

Head coach of the men’s senior national football team, Kent Hall, will use the two upcoming CONCACAF Series games in Bonaire to further fine tune his squad ahead of Nations League encounters later this year.

The squad has arrived in Bonaire, ahead of games against Saint Martin on March 26 and St Vincent and the Grenadines on March 29.

“For the initial two CONACAF Series matches last year we put a focus on trying to identify some more players that could bring more depth to our senior national squad.

“This time around, we’ve brought in a number of overseas-based players, because we’re really starting to focus on our final preparations for September in the Nations League, which is obviously the main task at hand,” Hall said.

The former national midfielder said he was hoping for some positive results in the upcoming games, despite the team missing some key overseas-based players.

“I’m excited to have some of the guys in. We didn’t get everyone that we wanted because at this time of the season for various people it’s tricky. It’s a tricky time when they have their club commitments.

“But I’m confident that we’ve got a really strong group of players and that we can really start to make things take shape and give us a good platform for later this year,” Hall said.
