Hayley Matthews had another outstanding performance for West Indies Women, but it went in vain as they folded to England Women by 17 runs in the third and final T20 International at the Essex County Ground in Chelmsford, today.
The captain took three wickets for 32 with her spin bowling to be the best on show for West Indies. She returned to open the batting and made the topscore of 71 off 54 balls but was left disappointed as she received little support from her teammates yet again.
England Women made 144-5 off 20 overs and West Indies replied with 127-8. It was the third defeat in a row as England took the series 3-0.
The two teams will now turn their attention to the One-Day International Series, which starts on Friday – schedule below
First ODI: Friday May 30 (8am) – Derby
Second ODI: Wednesday June 4 (8am) – Leicester
Third ODI: Saturday June 7 (6am) – Taunton
