A disturbing viral video showing a ZR van ramming into another in Warrens, St Michael and a man hurling a rock through one of the vehicles, has drawn strong condemnation.
The incident, which reportedly occurred in the busy commercial area and involved passengers, has reignited debate about discipline and led a Government minister to call for the two public service vehicles (PSVs) to be removed from the road.
Minister of Transport and Works Kirk Humphrey, after viewing the footage, made it clear that firm action must be taken against those involved.
“Both vehicle [drivers] need to be off the road immediately. The driver or the drivers or whoever else that was involved in it, they need to be held accountable – particularly the one who rammed the vehicle into the other vehicle. That’s clearly a criminal offence and the police, I hope they’re doing their job and having those persons charged appropriately,” he said. (TRY)
