A Barbadian who married a Jamaican woman more than 30 years his junior admitted he has not seen her since he wounded her four years ago.
Keith Eric Eversley, now 65, of Oak Leaf Villa, Mangrove Plantation, St Philip, was in the No. 5 Supreme Court yesterday, where he was arraigned with causing serious bodily harm to Oshin Williams, then 27, with intent on November 11, 2021.
He denied that count and pleaded guilty to the lesser, alternate count of unlawfully and maliciously inflicting serious bodily harm on Williams on the same date.
His attorney Rasheed Belgrave said a quarrel had arisen when Eversley realised he “was being used for financial gain”.
