Landscaper on gun, ammo charges

A 29-year-old landscaper will spend the next three weeks at Dodds Prison after being charged with firearm and ammunition offences.

Julian Omari Cave of Arthur’s Road, Parish Land, Christ Church appeared before Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on Monday, accused of using a firearm on January 20 without a valid licence to do so, and possession of one round of ammunition, on February 1.

He was not required to plead to the indictable charges.

Transferring the ammunition matter to the District ‘B’ Boarded Hall Magistrates’ Court on February 28, Magistrate Weekes remanded Cave into custody.

Cave will reappear in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on February 29 on the firearm charge.
