The man who was shot and killed at Crab Hill, St Lucy last night has been identified as Shamar Michael Inniss, 28 years, of Church Village, St Philip and French Village, St Peter.
According to police, they received an anonymous call around 9:25 p.m. that several gunshots had been heard in the Crab Hill area and a person clad in a winter coat and wearing a ski mask was lying on the road with a rifle next to them.
When police units arrived at the scene, the body of a male was discovered, medical assistance was sought and death subsequently pronounced. Inniss was identified by a relative.
Investigations are continuing.
