Man on bail after denying bar burglary charge

A 21-year-old general worker has been granted $5 000 bail after denying allegations that he broke into a St Michael business and stole cash and liquor.

Rashawn Ricardo Walcott of Mason Hall Street, St Michael appeared before Magistrate Manila Renee in the No. 2 District A Magistrates’ Court and pleaded not guilty to entering as a trespasser the building known as Ghetto Superstar Classic Bar, Grill and Lounge and stealing 17 bottles of Hennessy brandy valued at $1 762, a hookah worth $250, and $400 in cash, totalling $2 412, belonging to Rene Ricky Reid.

The offence allegedly occurred on June 19.

No objections were made to his release, and the case was adjourned until November 24.
